Hacking can teh r4 play gba romz?1!!

Hur hur. Not really.

Now I know the R4 can't take cards >2GB, but I heard there was going to be an update to allow this. Is that true? Or is the hardware in the R4 not capable of doing it?

It's a hardware thing. There's a newer version of the R4, the R4 V2, that has SDHC support (meaning, >2GB). But old ones are stuck with smaller cards.



And no, the R4 won't run GBA ROMs!!!

As far as I heard there is no r4 for now that supports sdhc that new shell is only shell, insides are the same (only w/o spring).

The one without spring doesn't include SDHC support yet. A future R4 will though, the R4 Team announced it themselves.

It hasn't been announced. It was merely a suggestion after gbalpha "announced" their plans to support SDHC with the R4.
