Pretty much title, i've managed to get a dsi with unlaunch pre installed and i'd like to remove it but after searching for a bit it seems that the topic is kinda divisive since some old threads warn users about a high brick risk (the ""'official'''' dsi cfw guide pharaphrasing this sentiment). The only thing that didn't mention this brick chance was Robz8 FAQ on dsi hacking. I've read about their tool (safe nand manager) that can safely remove ulaunch, but i don't have a nand image because it's a secondhand system. Do i have any options?

You can uninstall Unlaunch from the backup using no$gba by basically following this page: https://dsi.cfw.guide/restoring-nand, but just at the end of the testing section load the Unlaunch installer and uninstall it, then (assuming the backup still works) it should be safe to flash it. And this'll work fine with a fresh backup (https://dsi.cfw.guide/dumping-nand).

Though it is safer to just set NO BUTTONS to Launcher in Unlaunch's settings as banjo2 said, and that makes it easy should you want it in the future. If the menu doesn't have the splash or music and you want that you can reinstall Unlaunch with "Launcher Patches" turned off in TWiLight Menu++ settings to get those back and is still safer than Uninstalling.
