What about the switch version? I just bought a copy.
The Switch does indeed not need a Wii Motion Plus attachment (how would you even?), and in this version the motion controls are optional. The joycon have gyro built in (as do later Wiimotes, which might solve OP's problem if they don't want the bulky attachment rather than not wanting / being able to buy hardware).

I'm not sure what you are asking.
