Hi. I'm just wondering if backup saves can be used across different regions.

It may be game specific. In which case I'm trying to transfer the Japanese river city girls 2 to the US version.

I know I did it once on my 3ds by backing up the save and renaming the folder with the backup so the ticket number matched the new region.... I'm assuming the same process will work in theory. However I know it hasn't in all cases with DLC (presumably because that DLC didn't exist a particular region). So I'm wondering if it'll work and has anyone had success?

Also presumably the DLC might also affect the save? So I guess it's possible it could work on one game and not on another?

If anyone knows please share... If not I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Thanks Dave. I thought so. It did work by the way. I'm not sure if you've played it but I've got stuck trying to beat Primo the chef so thought I'd give cheats a go.

I found an invincibility cheat and thought "great" only to find it makes Primo invincible too.

Anyway the cheats vanished now as I updated the game. I'll keep trying and keep checking both regions for new cheats.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It can act as a swap drive but that isn't more RAM, it's slooow.
