Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Confirmed for Holiday 2009

"If you somehow thought that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 wouldn't make it this year, then this trickle of news will put your worries to rest. Activision CFO Thomas Tippl confirmed today that Infinity Ward's shooter will definitely be arriving this holiday season and is, apparently, 'looking incredible.'

He said at an annual Wedbush Morgan Securities meeting (via Kotaku) that Activision expects Modern Warfare 2 to be 'the most anticipated game of the year,' going so far as saying 'Perhaps [it'll be] the number one game of the year despite the fact that it's only going to launch in the holiday season.' That's a lot of bold statements coming from an executive. Hopefully, Infinity Ward's sophomore Modern Warfare game will live up to Tippl's hype."

I'm sure they'll rename it to something more interesting, and I believe they've ditched the numbered releases for good since WaW, so it won't be called 4 or 6.
Anyway, if they think it looks great, well then that's fantastic. Bold statement to make that it'll be the most anticipated title of the year, the last few times people have said that, it's never lived up to expectations.

It's already confirmed that it will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I'm just calling it Call of Duty 6(CoD6) because I'm sick of saying the full name out with my friends, 6 being the "sixth installment". Though I could just say Modern Warfare 2 also. I didn't like Call of Duty 5 particularly because I couldn't turn off a lot of the graphical settings(smoke softening?) for some reasons compared to CoD4... Unless I'm wrong... I can't quite remember because I liked CoD4 many times more so I kept that on my computer and got rid of CoD5.
