Gaming Buying a DSI in the US

Im going to florida end of this month. And thinking of buying a DSI while out there. Just wondering if there will be any compatiblty issues with it. (Im from UK)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I understand it is as follows:

• DS Games from any region will work on any region DSi
• DSi Games will only work on the region DSi they're made for
• The DSi Shop will only work on the region DSi it's accessed from (so if you buy a US DSi, you're stuck with the US DSi Shop)

My advice: buy one from your native country UNLESS you want the DSi games and DSiWare from the US.

That's my understanding with DS and the DSi Shop (but I've not heard anything about the compatibility regarding DSi cards and region)
