I finalized on a CycloDS from here and a 4g Micro SDHC card from here.

Is there anything else I would need to get the best out of this?

And also, is the version from realhotstuff.com the latest hardware version/batch?

And how reliable is the card reader that comes with the cycloDS?

Also, I was reading that the version from realhotstuff.com did not come with a tin, is this true?

And how many games on average can I see fitting onto a 4g Micro SDHC?

Thanks in advance, im just looking to clear up my concerns, sorry if there is a few threads on this stuff already.

Yes, your products are great. Good choices.
No you don't need anything else except maybe a good quality card reader.
I think realhotstuff has the latest batch but I too was curious about this although I think they do.
The card reader is questionable. Some say it works great. Others say it stopped working soon. You might want to get your own.
Don't know about the tin.
Depends on the game but usually I can get about 15 decent sized games on 1 gig. So maybe around 50-60 game for the 4gig.

well, the only other thing i would recommend is a 3 in 1 from here or here, depending on which ds you have (lite or the original), and i would only get that if you plan on either playing gba games, using the nds browser, or want rumble support.

they should be from the latest batch
they were out of stock of cyclods's a couple of months ago so im assuming they have the latest batch

the card reader that comes with it is complete crap. mine failed on me after 3 or 4 days. you should get one from dealextreme or newegg.

as for the tin, my order came with a tin, but the tin did not come with the leaflet (not that the leaflet is any important) when i ordered from rhs.

i can fit 11 or so games (non trimmed) onto my 1gb microsd (although, i have emulators and gba on the card as well), so im guessing you can fit alot of games onto the 4gb.

A decent/branded microSD reader is advised, since you don't know when the cheap ones will corrupt your card, and it's likely they will.

I already bought the 4g Micro SDHC card from newegg.

It sounds to me like i should buy the CycloDS from realhotstuff, so I will do so.

I should be looking for a card reader now. Any recommendations?
The ones im seeing come with their own cards, im not sure which one to buy...

Edit: I was thinking about taking out a card reader in one of my other computers, but im not sure if it supports Micro SDHC, could somebody tell me if it does?

9-in-1 digital media card reader supports the following cards:

* Compact Flash I
* Compact Flash II
* SmartMedia
* Memory Stick
* Memory Stick Pro
* MultiMediaCard
* Secure Digital (SD)
* Micro Drive
* xD Picture Card (xD = extreme digital)

Also, the card I bought comes with an adapter, maybe that will work with one of the said devices above?
I'm not sure what type of adapter it is, i think it is an SD adapter, so that means it will work with the card reader?

Yes, all MicroSDs come with an SD adapter. Your computer has a built in SD reader. Use it, it's much better than a USB adapter.

There is no such thing as non-SDHC compatible with computers.
