Hacking button swap homebrew software on switch?

Is there a way of being able to remap controls, like that piece of software on the 3DS?

I just bought zelda links awakening, and you CANT use the fucking D-pad! Why do they do this, it's not even used for anything else?

hid-mitm sysmodule lets you remap buttons but doesn't work on latest firmware version or latest atmosphere, nor does it let you remap joystick controls, only buttons. There's a new interface in latest firmware that allows a new method of control remapping, someone will probably make homebrew to use that before too long. But yeah for now you're stuck with joystick in Link's Awakening, sorry.

you playing ZLA as well, goophoba? super annoying isn't it. I remember when i played zelda link between worlds on the 3ds, they did exactly the same thing, but fortunately you can use this:

at least i replaced the joysticks with new ones, the old ones were drifting like crazy.
