Im, sorry if this sounds noobish but if they patch it cant you just look and the diffrence in binary code form firmware 1 and firmware 1.1 ?

i know they have to add something so it looks like a legit firmware like mii update but it would give a focal point

I can't get a chip either. I have a house to pay for, so I save for the games I really want. I'm not saying I am pro-piracy or anti-piracy but none of you have any right to beg and/or demand he release this.

I currently own about 32 wii+GC games.
I know we have no right to demand him to release this, but sooner or later it will be discovered by someone else.
Frankly, i live in the UK, and im sick and tired of baying £40 ($80) just for one game. Yes, that does mean ive pledged $2560 in to wii/GC games, and frankly i believe that its an absolute joke. Ive paid about enough money to nintendo, where any american was to purchase that amount of games would have only paid $1280. Its not that i think piracy is wrong, im just thinking that its going to far with regards to cost.

I cannot fit a chip. I have no money at all, and i am not able to easily save up any more. A loader has posibly been discovered.
Whats the natural reaction? want. If you cant have something, you just want it more. its natural.
I know someone else will probably find this soon anyway, but i am not happy with having this argument. I know he has every right not to release this information, but all he is doing is prelongng the inevitable. And now he has said "its possible" people are going to acctually start to look into this, and it will be released before long.

Server logs TELL us Nintendo reads these sites. Regularly. Have done for quite a while. They don't go via kotaku or digg or anything. Once again, this is a fact. They read the sites. Bushing knows this.

What, you think they don't pay attention to what is going on in the world, or that the team is incapable of reading server logs?

Nobody said you can't be excited. I am excited about it too. I'd love to be able to dl the latest greatest RPG (that's really all I buy) and play a copy for a bit before I decide if I want to drop $50-$60 for it. But I will buy it if I like it. Just like I bought Advance Wars for the DS after I dl it to try it out.


But again, nobody has any right to demand anything from him. And like others have said, if he found it then someone else probably can too.

I'm canadian and I understand this i pay about $70 bucks american for a game. but i also know that 10$ is basicly the bottom line i get paid in canada where as in the US they get paid 6$ some times

It is unfolding the same. The backup disc launcher/iso loader will come, as it did with PSP. The update war will begin. The hackers will be triumphant once more.

And as Jademalo said, this is the last hurdle. We can't help but to feel excited!

As i said, i agree w cant demand it, and yes, it will be found again too. But also, i have a DS flashcard.
I own every single game that i have on it.
The only thing is that he shoudnt tease us like this, and if nintendo arent gonna read his emails, what makes him think theyre gon na pay any more attention if its posted on a website?

Nintendo Wii is the bigest example of a big F-U to 3rd parties, how so? Nintendo simply doesn't care, as long as they sell system they'll laugh. I work in a video game store, and I'll tell you 1/5 people that buys a Wii buy games with it. The rest I never see again, or they buy like WiiPlay or some shit like that and then they dissappear.

So don't be surprised about Nintendo being slow to fix piracy on Wii...

BTW burning a game is the same as downloading an MP3. So don't be hypocrites...

There is a significant difference between piracy using a softmod or a hardware mod.
The softmod is a much bigger thread to companies because the hardware mod is usually only used by a minority for fear of damaging the console and/or losing warranty.

And so far most people against a softmod in this thread just pointed the "softmod-beggers" to modchip because they are pricy enough as it is...
