Well, I actually burnt the game on a different brand but the disc was crap. I already did all the stealth checks and what not and it said it was okay. So I burnt the same .dvd file as last time onto this new disc and popped it in my 360 to get that message. I was burning with Imgburn, I'm running iXtreme 1.51 at 2.4x speed. I have no idea what's wrong.

Either A) the drive isn't flashed B) a bad burn or C) the drive isn't flashed with the newest firmware and the game is something brand new....like H.A.W.X., MLB 09, Guitar Hero Metallica, etc.

Do you know what firmware is on it? The newest is 1.51

*EDIT* Ok, you are running 1.51 so I will say B) a bad burn. Sometimes if it is a low quality disc or even just a glitch, you will get errors like that and it's just a junk disc that you can now have the pleasure of using as a coaster or a Frisbee.

Can I ask why you are running the firmware at such a slow speed? I don't really know anyone using anything lower than 8x and nobody I know has problems....just curious.

Its safer to burn at a lower speed, means less errors.

Also, do you have any other games that you burned? Do they work? If they don't you probably need to flash it again. If they do, probably a bad burn. I had an error of sorts when I burned GOW2.

Use www.abgx.net to check that the dump you get is not bad/nuked.

I had this message once too - "to play this game, put it in an xbox 360" - from my xbox 360
