You need mini DVDs, the 1.4GB ones. Regular ones won't work.

It is possible to play GameCube games onto a full-sized 4.7GB DVD-R on the Wii. If you have a GameCube on the other hand, then you will need to modify a donor shell so that the disc can fit.

I remember doing this method when creating my own custom VideoNow Color discs containing my favourite YouTube videos. But this isn't a good solution as the data side can become easily damaged.

If you have a GameCube on the other hand, then you will need to modify a donor shell so that the disc can fit.

You can also just remove the top half of the shell. It's janky but it works.

Yeah, that's works too, but you wouldn't want to expose the drive to dust for a long period or directly look at the laser.
