Well I found some old screenshots of Bubsy 3D, and wow, it doesn't look like total crap!
The second screenshot has a textureless Mario Galaxy vibe to it for some reason, and the description here differs from the final game; the final game only takes place on one planet (Rayon) while this description mentions 5 planets. 2 player co-op is mentioned whilst the final game only has a crappy "cat and mouse" 2 player mode and the final game lacked the "thousands of frames of animation per character". Kinda sad to see that Bubsy 3D went from what looked like a fun 3D platformer (to me anyway) to total crap. Kinda funny how Sonic 06 went through the same sort of thing 10 years later. Since it's 2016, I wonder if we'll see history repeat itself again.
