they release it, so browserhax fix can probably come soon, next week?
Not sure, I meant a new update since this homemenyhax is dead on 9.9+ (for some unfortunate o3ds) & 10.2.

Yellows8 asked for submission of themes just couple of days, so that may be indication of new version of Homemenuhax. There isn't be schedule release yet so don't hold your breath.

I say that they will fix it, didn't say any date but I hope soon like next week. if the new home manu hax got released after 1 week or less, browser hax is probably next since it will give a free entry point to everyone and that Nintendo can't probably patch it

It's not that easy. You must understand Nintendo strategy to know that a new browserhax release needs a counter strategy or just wast developer effort.

Nintendo planted let's called it a bomb timer in 9.9+ firmware. When Smealum first hinted freeHax (tubehax + Ironhax), 9.9 was the latest firmware. People with 3DS/2DS between 9.2 and 9.9 if they had not one of the Ironfall game & Youtube app or both installed, they had update to 9.9 to access Eshop (fall right into the trap)! Then we had Browserhax and Themehax, at the time, it's so easy to get Homebrew Launcher so most people keep updating until 10.1 to have Eshop access along with their freehax. Nintendo went into action to kill off freehax: first tubehax -> browserhax & homemenuhax/themehax by releasing firmware 10.2. Then a day or less after Smealum released HAX 2.5 which allows Eshop spoof. Nintendo went for the throat of freehax by trigger the bomb timer to brick most of 9.9+ browser console to force update to 10.2.

Why does Nintendo target homebrew? Because with Hombrew Launcher, less people want to buy theme/DLC/app from Nintendo Eshop as we are seeing more of alternative to Nintendo Eshop app within homebrew community: Pokebank, HANS... It's harder to exploit on latest firmware of course, so Nintendo would like to force as much people to update as possible.

Why does next browerhax release need a different approach? Imagine next week browserhax for 10.2 would be released tomorrow. Nintendo with their man power may release a new firmware with only specific patch for the hax very shortly after. As you know 9.9+ already has this bomb-timer implemented, so once new firmware appears, same old problem we're having now, would re-appear at that future time.

Even with N3DS work-around. Nintendo would be happy with people frustratingly give up the O3DS and boost sale on N3DS. At this moment, Nintendo is pretty much cornering much the freehax users (if you discounting buying N3DS as paid hax ).

There's this brilliant joke:

You must update the system to play a game.
You must update the system to take a picture.
You must update the system to turn on the 3DS.

Go to smealum.github.io/3ds and download the homebrew starter kit, then go onto HBL and there should be an icon called EShop.

Edit: Just saw homemenuhax 2.0 released. Not working on 10.2 if I am not mistaken.

On N3DS yes: https://gbatemp.net/threads/browserhax-is-still-working.400991/
On O3DS: you need paid HAX.

Read above.

The developer of homemenuhax/themehax is working on a new homemenuhax/themehax) so at the moment wait.
Well.. it really won't mean anything if it doesn't come with another entry as well. It only helps if it could install the needed exploited theme directly to sd card via computer, or its useless to the users screwed by browser nag.

Getting the update message when trying to load the Browserhax page. How do I get past this?

EDIT: I've tried clearing history and cookies as well, since I've heard that was helped, but it didn't.

The trick doesn't work on O3DS

@Xdqwerty, No, but I've seen it on Vinesauce's stream.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, that game is one of the reasons i met newgrounds bc the full versión of it is in that site
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Also somebody is remaking it

@SylverReZ, the other game where I found newgrounds is new york shark

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's been there for a long time, too. People who search for lost media don't look hard enough lmao.

@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Fun fact @SylverReZ: iirc one of the goals on the fnf Kickstarter stated that pico 2 would be finished but the Kickstarter didnt get enough money for that goal to be fullfiled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, FNF sucks, their community is toxic as hell.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@SylverReZ its a single player game
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, Yea but it has a shitton of mods with their own songs and stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and quite a lot of people involved in those mods get cancelled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Newgrounds wasn't the birth of FNF; rather, it was games where you beat up celebrities and parodies.

FNF was born from Game Jams
