Gaming Broken Charging socket

The charging socket,the part which plugs to the charger,is broken.
Is there a way to fix it,or charge the battery in any other way?

Its better to get a new one for you're own safety...

depending on the model, you might be able to get a wireless charger, these come with a battery that can be charged directly.
you have to be careful though, a broken charging port might short-circuit your DS, frying the inside.

I have a DS Lite.
So i can charge it by taking the battery out and using a special charger?
where can i get it?
