NDSi XL Charging Port Issue

Hi everyone, bought a faulty DSi XL that doesn't charge properly and wanted to fix it. I've grabbed a spare DSi's charging port and soldered it but no orange light is showing. Is there something I'm missing? The black stuff was already there with the old charging port, probably an attempt by the previous owner. Btw I've checked both fuses and they have continuity, so I don't think it's a fuse issue here (maybe).

EDIT: the two solder pads on the sides are not soldered but that shouldn't be the issue, right? I checked and they shouldn't do anything

Update: removed the charging port and put it back on the NDSi I grabbed it from and it works, so I don't know where the issue is.

Check the EMI filter (both sides).

If it passes, work from there.

You mean to check if, when plugged in, I get some readings by measuring the filter?

Either that or continuity on both sides (4 / 2 = 2)

UPDATE: it did end up being the charging port. I bought a broken DSi XL, replaced the port and it works, pretty happy about that
