Hacking Bricking my ps vita

If i brick my ps vita,then i use my old backup to unbricking it..
It will work?

Ive read it doesn't work. Something like you can make a dump but if you write it back it will brick your Vita.

Is there a hip new way to brick your Vita I haven't heard of yet or are you just interested in something older like IDU, deleting random files, ... (the classics) ?
