Decided that I wanna run up an old psp game on my vita. Haven't used it in quite a while.

However, my vita won't turn on at all.

When I started charging it, I was getting the orange blinking light so I left it alone & even let the vita charge til the next morning.

Now, I get a solid orange light like I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to, but the vita just won't turn on...

I've heard that it takes quite a while to get a charge when the vita goes unused, & that sometimes it even takes 2 days, but I tried another vita that went unused for even longer & that was able to boot.

I've tried safe mode (PS, Power, R Shoulder button), I've tried the regular charger adapter, I've tried a phone charger, tried a PC connection, tried reconnecting the battery, safe mode, battery reset button combo, nothing has changed this issue.

Any advice?

You could try plugging it in while the battery is disconnected, there are a lot of users saying the batteries die die in them faster than CMOS batteries which is insane to me since the regular PSP batteries are like tanks

Something similar happened to my oled console a while ago, I managed to fix it by disconnecting the battery, charging it for an hour with a universal battery charger (using a crocodile clip cables for temporary electrical connection), after reconnecting the battery to the console it started to charge normally with the propietary cable.

PS Vita's have a very bad battery charging module design/quality, they fail very often out of nowhere and for no reason.

Most of the time, disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it again "might" get it to charge back again.

At least that has worked on mine.
