Hacking Bricked wii

hey guys,

today got a wii from a friend of my.
the wii is bricked.
but it is a boot2. the top case is missig so i dont have a serial number.
i dont know what he did but the last thing he did is dat he create a new nand with the tool from giantpune, and flash it back.
still blackscreen.
i dont know if it is a Eur or a other region wii.
someone know where i can check it?

any other advise how i can try to restore the wii.

Was bootmii installed at boot2 , can you open it & do you a NAND backup from him (or atleast the key )? If no then its screwed .

Then you should be able to save it.

First try to make another nand.bin with giantpune's nand.bin formater.
1- Load bootmii and make a new nand.bin of the bricked wii
2- Load the nand.bin formater, load your new nand.bin
3- format the nand.bin
4- Install SM 4.1 of the region of your choise. The region does not matter, whatever you want it to be, 4.1u for USA 4.1e for EURO.
5- Check the nand.bin with giantpune's nandbincheck, make sure there are no errors.
6- Load bootmii and restore your new nand.bin

Now if that does not fix the issue, your have a hardware issue. Most likely a bluetooth module, but it could be something else.
It the bt module is bad
- bootmii load
- savemiifrii loads
- priiloader loads
- games do not load
You can follow my softmod guide after the nand restore to reinstall HBC, cios, priiloader. Then you can test loading games from HBC, loading priiloader, etc. If priiloader is working, but games do not load I would replace the bt module.

If the priiloader does not load consider wifi module or dvd drive.
dvd drive- remove and wii should boot
wifi module- replace with working module to test.
