Hacking Brawlbox: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I'm trying to replace a texture in Pokepark Wii and I get this error message. other textures work fine so far it's just this one that I'm having trouble with. I searched online for this issue and couldn't find a single answer to the problem :/

(update)
here's an image of the actual error message. I'm unable to replace any textures/models in any of the 'field' files, so no crates, terrain, signboard, etc in any area of the game.

I don't know why that'd be happening, but does BrawlCrate work?

brawlcrate lets me pack the files but then it crashes when they're loaded in game

these 2 popups show up and then the game freezes
