Hacking Brand new to the scene of 3DS

Hi all, I have read some information to get myself used to the whole 3D hacking community. I am getting ready to hack my 3DS. I'm just wondering if someone could get me started on what I need to do in simple way...steps needed. I plan on reading more as I go but I'd like a simple walkthrough if possible.
