After the GPU has overheated for quite some time, the damage turns permanent. Your GPU is busted.Jakob95 said:According to this thread

It seems my GPU on the Wii is overheating? I don't understand how that is even possible as I barely even play it. And with composite cables it looks perfectly good.
What I think is that the cables you bought are really cheap cables from an unknown brand (if it belongs to any brand, I couldn't find the brand anywhere on the product's link) and they are likely not to keep up with the Wii standards. If I were you I would buy some madcatz component cables ($8.00) for the wii. I bought one set in Sam's Club around a year ago as a gift to a friend and they worked really nice. I think someone mentioned buying those cables earlier in this thread. In my case I bought the Nyko ones from Kmart ($30.00) but I think it was unnecessary as the madkatz performs equally nice.Jakob95 said:According to this thread

If the cables I recommended to you give the same problem then it could be what Raulpica told you above.

I still recommend you get the official ones. They have the best reputation of any cables.Jakob95 said:I submitted the RMA and this what I got on there website.
Please return the item to the address below. The RMA number must be visible on the outside of the package.
We recommend sending the return using USPS First Class Mail if the package is 13oz or less. Otherwise use a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope or a USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box. The post office makes priority mail boxes and envelopes available free of charge.
Does that mean I have to pay shipping and stuff? If I do then I will just keep the cables...
EDIT: Woah I just played the Legend of Zelda on both 480i and 480p. Huge difference.

I just thought that all these cables were the same thing fake or real. Because I bought a fake $2 HDMI cable which works perfectly with my Ps3.JoostinOnline said:I still recommend you get the official ones. Thousands of reviews would indicate otherwise.Jakob95 said:I just thought that all these cables were the same thing fake or real. Because I bought a fake $2 HDMI cable which works perfectly with my Ps3.

150 people gave the product 5 stars. So I thought it was good.JoostinOnline said:Thousands of reviews would indicate otherwise.Jakob95 said:I just thought that all these cables were the same thing fake or real. Because I bought a fake $2 HDMI cable which works perfectly with my Ps3.![]()
For digital signals cable quality does not influence picture quality. But if the cable is to bad it will simply not work reliably.Jakob95 said:I just thought that all these cables were the same thing fake or real. Because I bought a fake $2 HDMI cable which works perfectly with my Ps3.

But then why does my PS3 display perfectly?Bladexdsl said:you must just have a shit tv than![]()

I was talking about third party in general, but it still applies here. You have to look at the good and the bad reviews. Lots of the "bad" reviews on your product describe the problems you are having. Also look at the average rating, not just how many people gave it 5 stars. It got a 3.8/5 stars on average, where as the officials got 4.2/5.Jakob95 said:150 people gave the product 5 stars.
