Hey guys,

bought my second 360, as I am planning to sell my old modded one very high priced

.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-360-Console-H...5353&sr=8-1 => Bought that with Gears of war Classic.

What hardwares to expect?

Xenon or Falcon?
BenQ or Hitachi?

Isn't it Xenon -> Zephyr -> Falcon -> Jasper?
AFAIK, Xenon was 90nm/90nm, Zephyr was 90nm/65nm, Falcon 65nm/65nm and Jasper expected to be 45nm.

Falcon must be the best choice right now, produces noticably less heat compared to 90nm chipsets. Still not immune to RROD though.

Xenon is the 360s CPU lol!
Falcon is a revision done to the motherboard and CPU, it is still however a Xenon CPU.
I was talking about the versions.
V1, V2 V3 etc.

And I am not really sure if I got Zephyr or Falcon. It has got HDMI, so 100% not V1 as it is manufactured after august 2007.

And I dont know how to differ from Zephyr and Falcon. 100% BenQ, got lucky twice now

It's most likely Falcon; it's quite difficult to tell without opening the case, but you can find out by looking through the vents on the side to see the piping and heatsinks.
I have the same, falcon/benQ and I've only ever had one freeze (rented scratched ACreed) which was when I first got it from repairs over 6 months ago, and I play it A LOT.

Oh cool, i bought my 360 on the 29th of april. Would i have falcon also?

I'll be opening my 360 soon.

I dont want to be a pain but al xbox 360's after 18-4-2008( so look at the back of your 360 at the date

) have a benQ lite-on drive and cant be modded yet so :s i hope for you it stil has the normal benQ

Yah, mines was manufactured august 2007, so no worries. And also I am not really planning to flash this one.. well not until december.

@Thug
LOL Assasins Creed, I was bored as hell at the starting with all the shit talking about past memories and bla bla so I gave it away...

I ran it for 5 hours, playing Gears of War and MotoGP 2007. No freezing or whatsoever.

Look behind your power brick, do you see "Output DC 175W MAX"? If yes, you have a Falcon. If you see 203W MAX or something else, then you have an older model.

Also there should be a white sticker on the 360's box, it should say the team it was made by.

Mine's made by Team FDOU, and is a Falcon

Are you sure?
It says 203W on the AC transformer.

Man, so I am still in risk of RRoD on this one?
Should I use X-Clamp before I get RRoD

?

Also look at the white sticker on the box... what Team made it and what's the Lot #? Some people got Falcon 360s but they came with old power bricks, and you might be one of them.

On the white sticker it says the serial number, refer to manual bla bla, made in china, whatever volt etc.

It doesnt say anything about made by what team...

WTF?!
You should have told me the box with which it came with...
I was looking at the 360s sticker, ROFL

YAH! Team FDOU
LOT NO: 0735
X-Box system: EN/FR/IT/UK etc....
Harddrive Made in Korea,Thailand or etc..
Pffff. relieved..

65nm models produces considerably less heat. If you have someone with a Core/Premium, you could make a quick comparison of the temperature after playing for maybe an hour each.

The chance of RROD isn't TOO different. There are obviously fewer people with newer chipsets than older ones, so you don't see as many people complaining about their new model getting RROD.
(Also 65nm models' been around for a significantly shorter period of time compared to the 90nm ones)
But the bottom line is, producing less heat = safer than before.

Kay, so you most likely have a Xbox 360 with a Falcon chip, but with the old power supply. Oh and I did say look at the box
