Ah its a game it happens.
I hate when you gotta kill yourself to get out of things. But on zelda just port out and retry

You can teleport your way out of almost any situation really. I'm surprised they didn't block it for when you're in battle or something.
I think the whole point is that you can teleport away from anything you think you can't handle. Except when you get lost in those places in the desert, of course.

Welcome to Nintendo's post GameBoy Era.
You are a beta tester for their first gen Switch. Just like o3ds users were beta testing the first version of the 3ds. Nintendo no longer makes consoles/games that simply work, they prefer to cheap out as much as possible at the expense of play-ability to end users.

The fact that any kind of glitch is considered regular to you outlines the problem.
Nintendo doesn't properly vet their products anymore.
They let the end users get faulty games/devices and then say it's the end users fault when the problems are pointed out.

Beta testing used to be a job, people would spend hours trying to break games so when you finally got said game, IT WORKED! Now, companies expect early adopters to do the beta testing, while paying for the "privilege."

Give me one game that's more complex than a few lines of code that has zero glitches. :rofl2:

You shouldn't be forced to see these glitches unless you are a paid beta tester. Nintendo charged you guys way too much for all the FPS/Joycon/Clipping/Warping/DockScratching issues you early adopters are experiencing.

Wanna talk about pokémon and many other games from the game boy? Every game have bugs. Absolutly every game. In fact, Zelda has less than many others you can see this days.
In fact, 3D games are more likely to have this kind of bugs, and it's not that easy to idenfy them in a beta test.

I see you're riled up from all the other issues, but mind you, this particular little glitch is completely normal. Look at your favourite PC, Xbox, and PS4 games and you'll notice none of them are perfect, every game has a glitch of sorts...

As for those early adopter issues, they're common with release consoles:

There's another thing called Self-Selection bias: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-selection_bias
It basically means that these people with the defective switch units are trying to represent the larger Switch community and standardizing their manufacturing mistakes as a global defect of the Switch.
These issues are only a few among the majority and will soon be non-existent as Nintendo has informed the manufacturers about this.

It's fun finding glitches anyway. Remember the glitch where you could pull the N64 cartridge out a little and get past Mido in OoT without the sword and shield? Or you could get out of the fishing hole with the rod and mount Epona, then something happened I don't remember what. Anyway point is, a few glitches here and there make the game even more fun and interesting.

In Skyrim they're literally features.

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

I remember seeing the very first episode back in the day, and have watched every episode since. I used to set my VCR to record them even, shows how long ago.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just like any comedies really, and cartoons have always been a favorite of mine. Family guy, American Dad, Futurama, Cleveland Show, Simpsons - I like them all.

South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.

@BigOnYa were you always up to date on the current events and issues of the time or were there issues that you first found out thru south park
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)

  • S @ salazarcosplay:
@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@salazarcosplay if they made a prequel, it would still be about current issues, cause it doesn't make sense to make it about stuff that happened 30 years ago that nobody cares about anymore
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's too late
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the older south park episodes about particular issues usually age poorly since the topic is no longer relevant

an exception is giant douche vs turd sandwich, that's always relevant :P
