Running on 4.0, installed as boot2, works beautifully.

Now are there any existing utilities out there that can modify dumped NAND files? Specifically to remove an outdated 249 as it's been giving me grief with the -1017 errors and I can finally go on my way to running USB Loader! (I'm hopeful

lso, I'd like to confirm that HBC 1.0.2 allows Apps to be read off any USB devices connected with an APPS folder in the root (Y), which is quite useful.

. Well, good it's out, probably going to install it when I'm at home...

Now, I would love to go a little further about USB and HBC 1.0.2...I know this is BootMii, but somehow they're connected, and a new Topic would be stupid...

1) Can apps, that run from USB still acess the FAT32-Partition (Like DMP)?
2) What about apps that need a folder in the root (Super Mario War)?
3) Any compability Issues?

I'm guessing that Apps that searches for files on the root would need a recompile to support USB...the rest should work without any problems...anyone can confirm? Thanks in Advance

About the usb support OMG I asked for this, the other day I messaged bushing to enable usb device for homebrew, personally messaged him on wiibrew the other day as well as making a thread on there saying that bushing should update to usb support.

Is it possible to make Bootmii boot directly into the main Wii menu? It's a bit annoying having to get up and use the buttons on the console every time you turn it on.

yes.

goto sd:/bootmii/bootmii.ini

and change/add that line

AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU

AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU

in the bootmii.ini

I'm fully aware of that, hipster. If it was working, I wouldn't be asking my question in the first place... But it doesn't work because like I said, I have an old 249 that's mucking everything up, giving me -1017 errors (I foolishly upgraded during a smoky haze without realizing what I did wrong until it was too late at the time...

). Now if there were a windows utility to modify dumped nand files, then that'd save ALOT of people some grief.

In the hackmii installer is the new HBC 1.0.2 included... Changelog said:
* Added "Launch BootMii" button to home menu

The problem is... I cant find that button anywhere... Or am I blind?

Just install a new cIOS over it. Shouldn't be a problem...

**facepalms**

You think I haven't tried that?

You know what, I'm going to bed. But I did think of the possibility of flashing the NAND with one from someone else's system. If anybody else has done it yet, let us know the results.

I don't think it's there if you isntalled bootmii as boot2, only if you installed it as an IOS.

Install it both as boot2 and IOS. The "Launch BootMii" button will be available inside HBC when you press the Home button on the Wii remote.

Well you were obviously to stupid to do it right.
Let me guess you have the 4.0 update on your Wii and you tried the normal cIOS installer, right? *facepalm*

but what's the point of installing it as cios if it's already installed as boot2?

no point just to have "Launch BootMii" button inside HBC

Well if you are in HBC and want to quickly jump back into BootMii.
