That's the extent of my problem. It wont let me restore the NAND from last week, which is the 3.2E firmware before messing about with it.

I had the same problem last night, all you need to do is copy your nand.bin and keys.bin into the same folder and from the command prompt type, "copy /b nand.bin+keys.bin fixed_nand.bin", now all you have to do is to copy the keys.bin and fixed_nand.bin to your SD card and rename fixed_nand.bin to nand.bin and now it should work.

the simpliest way is to use BootMii-KeyFix...you just have to drop the .exe in the same folder as your key.bin + nand.bin and then start the .exe.
it's pretty simple...it patches the invalid key.bin and then it attaches the fixed file to the nand.bin...so you'll get a nand.bin that doesn't require the keys.bin anymore (like in bootmii beta 1 + 2).

Just use google to find te program

It still happens in the latest version.

The old dump is not working even for the new Bootmii.
I'm dont know, but what happend to me was, I dumped my nand with the latest version of bootmii and straight away tested it to make sure that it worked and it did, but a week later after installing 4.1 using dop-ios which bricked my wii, I tried to rewrite my nand.bin but it didnt work anymore and gave the the"dump is for a different Wii" error, even though it worked when I first dumped it.

What exactly does this accomplish ?

Some older versions of bootmii didn't include the keys.bin at the very end of the nand.bin, most nand backups will include this, but if u happen to have an old backup that is missing the keys at the end, this will save a copy of the nand.bin and append the keys.bin to it so it can be restored by bootmii

AFAIK all versions of bootmii always provided the keys.bin separately, it's just that one version didn't also append it to the nand backup. For the vast majority, the nand.bin and keys.bin do not require any kind of modifications

@godreborn I think you know this already but just wanted to clarify for anyone else reading in case it was not clear

no, I didn't know that. I haven't messed with the wii in some time, but I do remember some things about it. it's still plugged in on either side of a shelf with the wii u and ps2. lol not using modmii is probably why my wii is so dirty to begin with. I did most exploits when they were released or shortly after aside from hardmod to softmod.
