It's... blue. I don't understand why all the hype. It's just blue. Well, not even BLUE, but LIGHT blue. It may look nice, but it's the same WiiMote... but in blue.

Wiimotes cost $30 in the US so around $20 more, but you have to consider Japan's expensive retail prices, some games there cost $80-120 US and aren't special editions.
