i believe your suppose to kill the giant.

I am stuck also has anyone figured out what you have to do and I do not think killing the giant is an option.

I've been told the early missions require the following actions to complete...

1-1: Destroy the hand's core
1-2: Make your way to the portal
1-3: Destroy the face's core (same as the mouth core, I believe)
1-4: Fire at the kneecaps (ends when Gigant comes up close to you)
1-5: Defeat Gigant (sorry if Gigant isn't the proper spelling)
2-1: Survive for 5 minutes
2-2: Make your way to the portal
2-3: Destroy the armor of the hind legs

Does anyone know which part of Gigante you have to attack to make it expose its rear waist?

I just spent 30 minutes on that free mission and failed because of time over, Gigante just doesn't like to show its back and I couldn't attack other cores since its HP was at ~5% for over 10 minutes.

After beating Gigante in story mode, a whole Gigante section is added to free missions list.
And one of them is "ギガントの腰は武器庫！"

Some parts destruction must be done in specific free missions, like Gigante's eyes and Fenrir's tongue because their HP is too low in story missions.

Not only do I want the material, but I'm trying to S-rank every mission.
I read on Japanese thread that other people ended up killing the Gigante on that waist mission too.
This sucker just wouldn't turn around.

The tip at the beginning of 2-3 said attacking certain parts will make the monsters react a certain way. I virtually tried attacking every part of Gigante to make it expose its rear waist, it's a no go.

It you stop attacking it, it'll turn around and walk away after about 30 sec, that's your chance, just got my S rank on it.

Let me add some mid missions

2-4 Destroy the weakpoint of the hind legs
2-5 Defeat Fenrir
3-1 reach the portal
3-2 Survive 5 minutes
3-3 Destroy the armor on Ifrit's Torso
3-4 Destroy the Latch that holds Ifrit's cannon
3-5 Defeat Ifrit

Or other characters have piercing attacks, as long as you know where the core is you can just fire away from the front. Also there are piercing cannons too.

Got ALL S mark on Gigant and Fenrir, playing other games atm so don't see getting ALL S on Ifrit and Gilgamesh any time sooner than tonight.

I believe stage 6-x are all "Defeat the enemy" although I haven't gone all the way

And in 5-3 destroying her skirt doesn't totally remove it, just make it appear a bit ragged

can any1 help me with my flash cart? i can't seems to play the game no matter what. currently install ysmeun & with offical 1.18 firmware into my flash cart which is R4 non-copy version. so can any1 plz help the helpless me over here?

Try to look for a patch. I think R4 required the game to be patched.
