Homebrew Question Best way to use cheats by editing savefiles

Hi!
Since Edizon has not been updated in a while, what is the best option to do this?
I mean how to edit save files to enable cheats, like the coin hack on Odyssey.

I was going to try the cheats option on Checkpoint, but I'm afraid of using it, because:
On normal mode, entering the cheats menu crashes Checkpoint.
On Applet mode, there is a red filter with a message on the screen telling you to NOT use Applet mode at all!
It also lets you move the cursor behind this annoying message. It does not crash when you click on cheats,
but I don't know if it's safe to use it because of the RED filter message.

Any opinions?
