Okay when modmii prepared my sd, I realized cmios was disabled.
So I manually installed the only 3 cmios wads that were there
-cmios-v4-waninkoko
-cmios-v4-wiigator-gcbl-
-cmios-v65355-wiipower-wiigator-0.2

All I have to do is drop them in the wad folder made before or does cmios need its own wad folder?
Also since I would only need to use these wads when using neogamma (correct me if im wrong) would I be able to change the wads inside neogamma and just start the game?

You only need one of the wad files. I'd use cmios-v65355-wiipower-wiigator-0.2

Okay checked the neogamma thread and dl'd the cmioswiigator installer.
so the question I have is
-I install v10 wiipower-wiigatorv0.2 using cmioswiigator installer.
Do I have to change the wad back to ios58(etc) when I play wii backups?

To install wii cios, i use mmm, go to ios manager then install a wad from what i read.
-considering the ios58 is the one there right now, do i have to remove/uninstall ios wads before installing new wads?
Or can you just overwrite/install a different wad over the one already placed?

do not uninstall ios

install cios d2x base 56 (for wii games)

okay so just want to clarify:
when playing wii games
-use mmm
-go to ios manager
-install cio249[56]v21d2x6.wad

when i want to play gc backups
-run ciosgator installer
-install wiipower-wiigator v10 0.2

If I want to go back to playing wii games do that process again
if i want to go back to playing gc, do that again cycle?

No. You install both of those wads with MMM. If you are playing a Wii game, NeoGamma will use the cIOS. If you are playing a GC game, it will use cMIOS. You don't have to mess with those wads after installing them.

Sweet, okay so 1 more clarification i think.
-i can install both wads with mmm. would i be restricted to neogamma only then? or could i still use cfg loader and usb loadergx if need be without having to change anything?

for gamecube games use neogamma
for wii games use cfg loader

thanks man. and thanks for all the help
Just a quick note here, for Wii games you can also use Neogamma or Wiiflow or UsbloaderGX
Which ever one works best for you.

Mind that Neogamma does'nt support FAT32 ot NTFS from HDD.

You could do it the manual way.

Ctrl+Shift+Escape, wait for the task manager to come up, then click on the processes tab, sort them by name, and find 'nusd.exe'
Right click that and hit End Process.

Or you could just try the download again.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
