flash cart method means you'll have something to play nds roms, frog miner gets the job done requires a bit more work
to me the easiest method is the flash cart, plus it can be used to hack future devices
Use the version specific method (in your case soundhax). No extra hardware needed. Just your SD card that comes with your system anyway.
Don't know why people suggesting things that require extra hardware if he has such low firmware

Can I get the emulators that way? But not DS roms? All they all CFW wether I get the flashcart or do u sound hax method? What CFW will I be on?

because ntrboot works on all versions, and like i said it can be used on multiple systems, (eg. ive hacked 5 3ds with my flash cart, just flipping the switch and following the guide i've linked above) some of them were on older fw versions and some of them were up to date

You should use the soundhax/safehax method for sure.
If you go with that method you can have it hacked today in less than an hour.
If you want to do ntrboot you'll need to wait for a flashcart to arrive.
(Though if you plan on hacking more devices, specifically ones on 11.8, then probably order a flashcart anyway)

Ok I do sound hax as I don’t want to wait for flash card. Do I need to do a nand back up ? First I didn’t see it in sound hax guide?

your overall goal is confusing, are you trying to install luma or play 3ds games? you have to focus on one first then decide on the other.
your first goal should be obtaining CFW
I mentioned the flash cart because it kills 2 birds with 1 stone
A) Allows you to obtain CFW after following the guide I posted above
B) Allows you to play nds/gba roms (non of which I can link too, but you have google)
and the 3ds.hacks.guide has multiple starting points depending on your current FW version, but all of them lead to the same end game.
