Hacking Best guide for modding the Wii U?

I just picked up a Wii U pretty cheap and was looking to mod it. I was just wondering if https://wiiu.hacks.guide/get-started is still the best guide to follow or if there is a better one?

Also wondering if it is possible to run EUR game backups on a US console?

In my opinion, the guide at http://www.wiiubru.com/guide/ is the best, since it lets you decide which hacking method you should use and tells you the advantages/disadvantages of each so you can make a decision. The wiiu.hacks.guide is probably similar though.

Although the guide I linked is "only for 5.5.1," all of the methods described in it work for 5.5.2/5.5.3 except for the web exploit; you can use the steps outlined at https://gbatemp.net/threads/more-stable-webhack-for-5-5-2-5-5-3-released.528757/ to use the web exploit for those firmwares.

One final suggestion: use https://jorgev259.github.io/wiiusetup/ to download your sd files properly and efficiently. And good luck!

Edit: oh, and to answer the question, the answer is yes. Any CFW you use should be region-free already, but if it still doesn't work, you can use a homebrew such as Spiik.

You can't go wrong if you follow it. It adapts to any situation you could be in. But ultimately, the choice is yours to follow whatever guide you pick.

didn't get any issues apart from dumping the nand... had to try with several formatting techniques and sdcards to get it working
