Best blu-ray player?

What's the best blu-ray player available to play anything you throw at it?

I'm finally getting an HDTV this year and would like a player to be able to run numerous file types. I currently have a philips dvd player that plays everything (especially avi burned to cds or dvds) and would like the same from a blu-ray player so I can burn backups and play without having a spend hours converting.

Well, since we are on GBAtemp the first thing that comes to my mind is the PS3. If not the best, then surely one of the cheapest blu-ray players (and great console of course). With a little tweaking you can install Showtime Media Player who plays all types of media files and even supports external subtitles for videos.

I haven't kept up with the PS3 and didn't know that was a good all around playback option. I should have known since its' been hacked.

well id say ps3 is the best
