Hacking Battery compatible

I'm looking to buy a new battery for my DS. I have the classic but all the batteries I find(especially the ones with expanded play time) are for the DS Lite. Could anybody tell me whether there is any difference between the battery of the classic DS and the lite.

if i remember correctly, the phat ds is 850mah while the dslite is 1000mah

ummm yeah that doesn't really help me... I need to know whether I can put it in or not... me=not a techno wiz...

The ds battery is a different shape from the dsl, the contact points are not in the same spot. you will not be able to interchange them.
