Hey @mattytrog how you doing?

I tried to boot hekate using your UF2 file for R4S Dongle but didn't succeed. I put the UF2 into the dongle and renamed the hekate payload to start.bin and put it on the root of the SDcard. It just won't boot. Any thoughts on why it is not working?

(I got a bootloader folder already on my SD card, IDK if this could give problems or not)

Thanks in advance.

It is...

So you are just launching a payload to launch a payload... Very pointless.
Okay...That’s what I thought.. but sometimes...I don’t really understand some questions of members...?...I mean not the « English « sense of it... for me « poor French speaking English « ... just the « basic » sense of the « How switch hacks work ».

Is it or not a « kind of forwarder « ...?... in an own launch payload ..? Totally useless...

OK Read OP again...

You are going wrong.

1) Delete bootloader folder
2) Put SD card in switch. Hekate menu should come up
3) Turn switch back off
4) Put SD card back into PC, the bootloader folder should be back.
5) Put your start.bin on root... Boot.

I have improved the Hekate version... Not sure if I have permission to post it though.

((I REALLY REALLY recommend the S2 version. Much cleaner, no conflicts with other hekate stuff.

Then you just rename Hekate to start.bin))

OK, should I keep the hekate payload on root (named start.bin) during step number 2?

Update coming tomorrow...

Modified Hekate slightly yet again...

Done this so it doesn`t clash with normal Hekate should you choose to use that. Not sure why though as you would be using Hekate to boot Hekate...

Changes:

  • Now makes a 0 folder automatically with all chainloader bits in.
  • payload entries are built into a "start.ini" automatically
  • By default, start.ini contains entries for start.bin, start2.bin, start3.bin etc etc
  • You can rename these as you wish by editing start.ini
  • Default autoboot is set up to start.bin

This is meant for modchip users. It isn`t meant to replace the original or anything...

@mattytrog can u make one for sx-os 2.2 beta plz using trinket m0 method 1
The whole point of these thread is there is no need for me to make anything. You can do it all yourself with drag and drop. So, for example, as soon as Hekate 4.3 or 5.0 or whatever drops, you can download and place straight on your SD card. No need to "make" anything.
