Can someone basically condense the content of this thread into basic notes and send them to me as a PM?
I have little time at the moment and want to make an NX thread in my site.

Why? and Why?

This is all speculation anyways, based on how we think Nintendo thinks and what scant rumors we have heard.

That being said, it does sound like my main guess seems to be closer to the mark, but my speculation about the added features remains to be seen.

It's supposedly only coming out on 3DS and PS4, but I've heard rumors about an NX version, which might suggest that the NX is at least on par with the PS4, given that they'll share a game. Or, well, not that the Wii U didn't share games with the other consoles but was still lagging behind spec-wise...
I thought that the official announcement trailer had the Wii U and NX logos on it? That was why people were all going WOOOOAAAAH TEH FURST NX GAME ANNOUNCEMENT

I might be confusing it with another game, though...

Edit: Wasn't imagining the NX part, although I seem to have made up the Wii U part lol: http://kotaku.com/dragon-quest-xi-announced-for-ps4-and-3ds-1720543034

Yes, it might seem like that, but in that link of mine above DQXI is stated as "considered" for the NX, still I believe this rumour to be true, considering that Squeenix was so clear the first time they spoke. It was probably Nintendo who told them to stfu.

Btw they're completely wrong when they say that DQX is on 3DS...

Edit: or not..

So now im going back to the supplemental computing device on the NX patent...

the only thing that ive seen able to use any external graphics card enclosure is the Razor Core with AMDs Xconnect. That thing goes for $500, ITS NOT CHEAP, and thats without the graphics card itself. So if the only option was to use the Razor Core, your looking at a minimum of $750 for a little bit of an extra boost. (razor core $500 + amd rx 480 4gb $200 +tax). Taking a look at the form factor of the Razor Core, thats thing is BIG. It needs its own power supply and extra space to compensate for cooling...

So imagine if they did include an extra port and spaced enclosure build onto the console itself and not external for a graphics card, how big will the console be?

It would be pretty damn big, it would need its own power brick capable of around 500w to use the extra graphics card and if it wasnt then i wonder how they solved the cooling problems... Are they making their one custom graphics cards? i dont think so.

So reflecting on those two things. Cost for external graphics card, formfactor and cooling for extra graphic cards.

I DONT THINK THE NX IS GONNA BE AN UPGRADABLE CONSOLE

the supplemental conputing device might just be a home server based machine

Weren't you the one talking about the NX being a thumb-drive type thing that you could plug into a computer or console to play Nintendo games with the power of the device? I personally thought that was actually the best theory

Internal GPU slot. PS2 has done it. And a lot cheaper than razer core or even thunderbolt 3. Or even a costume block linked right next to it. Or a module with built in gpu.
I really shouldn't have acted so aggressive after getting trolled and feel free to report and ban me.

with each new 'rumor' or nintendo cryptic quote my crazy ideas get throw out the window. but with some of the gpus now adays some burn pretty hot and take about 150-500watts just to run. so if they gave the option to add a gtx 1080 they woulda solved the heating problems like adding fans and vents. And its alright to go crazy, thats when stuff gets fun

The thing about Mario NX in development right now...

Miyamoto, i believe, says that while mario is being worked on and its mostly ideas on how to make it different, he also said that its gonna take one, maybe two years before its released and people freaked out 'AH! NX is already a failure!' in both happy nintendo is gonna fail or sad nintendo will fail...

Me personally i dont see anything wrong with it at all. The NX isnt going to be released until the spring of 2017. So if hes saying two years from now then realistically we might see at e3 2017 and itll be released in 2018, ONLY one year after the release of the NX. It was also rumored that a lot of 3rd parties were developing their own new IPs for the nx along with 3rd party games that will show up on ps4/xb1. The NX was held back in release date so they can have consistent game releases as said by kiroshima. The makers o mario already have the engine down and the controls tight as always. Really all they have to do is put their ideas in the game.

And will nx 2.0 be a good thing? Like ps4 neo and scorpio.

we dont even know what the nx gimmick is, we're just guessing. But the developers know what it is. They also know what the neo is too. Is there any buzz about the psNeo even tho its been said to be released along side the xbox slime in september? no, because rumors of what the ps4k is only the ability to upscale to 4k, and play 4k bluray and do psVR better. The ps4 processing power cant be fully be utilized because of the ps4 holding it back, its purpose is to be strong enough to play h265 encoded stuff and do non-nausiting VR...

On the hand, the NX might actually be that good. Everyone and their momma's was skeptical of zelda before they showed it at e3 including me, and my mind was blown from one game

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

The funny part is according to AMDs financial reports, there is supposed to be 2 consoles coming in september with a custom polaris gpu. Which means the xbox slim secretly has one in it, even tho it was never announced LOL

cheap vr with a classic control scheme and less immersion
without complicated setups and expensive tech sounds like a good idea to me

If NX has WiiU compatibility I'd imagine there'll be quite a wait for Mario/Mario Kart games, as they'll want all the people who bought the NX but not the WiiU to buy the WiiU games first.

If there's no backwards compatibility I'd imagine there'll be a rush on Mario/ Mario Kart games within the first few months of launch
