Saw the new bad update so dug my old 360 slim out of storage!

Successfully updated to the proper firmware and used moddedwarfares guides and was able to boot into Aurora!

PROBLEM - Its a 4GB slim with no HDD. I figured, meh Ill just run it off the internal 4GB flash then use a USB HDD for everything else
Well got to the point where you copy the files to the internal HDD (flash) and it seems you cannot copy files to the internal flash.....
Am I cooked? Is there a way to do this? I see there is some complex ways to install an internal hard drive with some paid software?

Whats my easiest solution?

Thanks!

The internal HDD is not flash. Copying anything to flash (internal NAND) will probably result in a useless console unless is modchipped.

The best option would be to get a larger capacity HDD and/or SSD.

I ONLY have the 4gb internal flash. No HDD. But I can boot badAvatar and get into Aurora no problem. My question is, is there a way with badavatar to install an internal hdd. It has the slot for it but its empty

As far as I know if you have an internal HDD, then yes. But be aware. I've seen people having a range of issues using the avatar version of the exploit over on reddit.com/r/360hacks.

I use the rock band version and I have not any any major issues with it. Sometimes it gets stuck on 'Discovering Downloadable Content'. But other than that, no issues.

also I would recommend investing in a fw flashable 2TB drive (WD only) flash the SS on it and install the bad storage patch via fatxplorer 3.0 down side is you cant use bad avatar HDD you must use a USB

Got it! Little confused though.

I am getting the 500gb hdd from ebay. It says its fully 360 compatible but NOT for original xbox games. I know this is due to compatibility and all that jazz with the partitions.

Seeing as I will ONLY use badavatar and Aurora, is there any way to "fix/partition" the hdd so its a fully working hard drive and the 360 sees it as such? Is there tools inside of Aurora that will help with this?

Thanks!

GOT IT!

Ok last issue everyone. DRIVING ME INSANE. Got the HDD. Plugged it in. Has the MS logo on it.
I can boot into Aurora perfectly fine from USB, but when I try to copy all the files WITH THE CORRECT LAUNCHER.ini set to HDD, it gets past the chain and just a black screen forever :(

I quadruple checked everything and copied everything over to the internal, and it will run the badupdate and chain animation but REFUSED to boot aurora from the 3rd party HDD. Again, checked all the paths and they are pointing to the internal/

Am i missing a step??
