Yes because you cannot bypass the step where it validates whether or not you bought the game or not. This is only to keep them installed on your Switch until we have a way of bypassing that step or updating to the latest firmware to confirm you paid for it.Tried this on 4.1.0, still tells me to update eshop
What he's trying to do is download a game that he bought digitally, maybe previously or through the pc, but he's currently not on the latest firmware version. It'd be cool if that worked.Yes because you cannot bypass the step where it validates whether or not you bought the game or not. Validation can only occur on the latest firmware because that is where it lets you connect online. For some reason, despite being banned, Nintendo still lets user verify that their downloaded content is legitimate if they are on the latest firmware but that may be subject to change. What he's trying to do is download a game that he bought digitally, maybe previously or through the pc, but he's currently not on the latest firmware version. Or maybe you mean that the validation only happens on the latest firmwares?

How does one clear their Error Logs? I haven't gone online yet.
We don't know yet where the error logs get stored.
Yes, that was what I was talking about. Developers stated that clearing error logs with the current tools might not be enough to be safe. There appear to be multiple apps that clear error logs...are you saying there are additional logs that we're not aware of?
Yes, you can still download game and firmware updates. So even after I'm banned, I can still download updates for """"""""backups""""""""?
2181 refers to Module 181, which is Dauth (Device Authorization). I don't know if the error code you're getting is different in practice, but SciresM tweeted about getting a Code 0008 from Dauth before, which means his device cert was completely banned from the CDN:anyone else getting crashes in the settings menu after doing this? i keep getting error code 2181-4008 when i enter system settings
Those wondering how I can tell my console is banned: it's pretty simple, here's what dauth responds when I try to get a token. pic.twitter.com/zVglBGj2xu

This might be bad news.
Can you still download game updates? Does redownloading from eXhop still work?
NX-Dreport exists, and it's supposed to clear your console's error history, but nobody is sure if it actually helps with mitigating bans. How would we fix this? Is there an option through hekate (can't spell) to remove the logs?
"Errors caused by Homebrew (Libnx/Libtransistor/Mucking with LayeredFS) in your Error Log (Yes, even if you have Error Reporting disabled; this is the one that's caught the most people unaware thus far)"
I would definitely recommend waiting for a full release of Atmosphere. When your console gets banned, the certificate permanently burned into the board itself gets banned, and there's no way to replace or unban it.I haven't gone online with my Switch since the banwave started happening. Also I have a NAND backup. Should I wait until someone updates NXDreport or Atmosphere releases, or if I go online, would I be able to fix it by restoring my backup?
That's definitely not supposed to happen.Oh i am fully aware i am banned LOL, no worries there. but when i just enter the system settings it crashes hard when i utilize the method to download a title from this thread. i had a feeling its prob calling back and panicking "this system is banned but its downloading!!! ERROR!!"
