Hardware Balance Board compatible not working on Wii U?

I tested this Balance Board compatible with Wii Fit U and Wii Street U and not get it to work. Wii Fit Plus if it works. Have you tried with others balance board?

I have the official Balance Board, yours looks like a third-party knock-off. From what I hear, you can actually get an authentic Balance Board for about $15 over at GameStop.

the official one works fine on my Wii U, so its probably your unofficial one
