Here is a skin I'm working on. I'm attempting to make it look like an official virtual console type application, which explains the look of the cover art for Mario Bros. 1. I'm also making a regular DS skin to match.

Keep in mind, this is a work in progress, so don't be too harsh please :). The icons on the sidebar are incomplete, I'm going to create some new settings icons, and I'm still tweaking the colors. I'm just looking for some feedback and hopefully it will be released tomorrow. I'm also working on a mockup for the new DSTwo menu based off this.

Anyway, on to the screen shots...

UUuugh, I wish that my old DSTWO hadn't fucked up from an unknown incident! (Not worth asking about it now, it's actually apart)

Is there a GBA slot2 app compatible with BAGPlug that will let me invoke a GBA file and have it automatically load into my Ewin 2in1 slot2 cart? Currently, I'm using GBA ExpLoader to launch GBA games.

the gba exploader moonshell2 version will work for direct gba game booting with BAGplug. i just tested launching Boktai.

grab the gba.ExpLoader.nds and rename it to something like ExpLoader.nds, and add a gba.arg to the _bagui/ext folder.
for example, my gba.arg looks like this:
Code:
GBA:
"//ExpLoader.nds"//file path to the plugin
[$PRGMPATH$,$FILEPATH$]//arguments are separated by commas
;

I haven't gotten my DSTWO yet to try bagplug, but is it true that for game covers, the cover graphic file needs to be name the same as the game file UNLESS it's a commercial game, which then the graphic file needs to be renamed to the game's internal ID? If so, why is there this special extra requirement for commercial game covers? Technical or performance reasons? I currently use offlinelist to manage my files and the internal id is not exposed. It seems simpler to have everything named the same as the nds file, like with .sav, .dso, rtfx, etc.

Yes it is true, and it is set this way so that NDS covers will work with NDS roms no matter what you decide to rename the rom file as. BAGPlug, does have the ability to display a rom's internal ID if you view its file properties. Alternatively, you can just download a cover pack that already has the covers labeled with the correct ID's.

I dont understand how to install this....i have tried everything, and nothing works, can someone explain it from eos start to finish...I know the op explains it and it isnt hard, Im just missing something basic, thank you

Ok I cant get anyone to help:( I know this sounds silly, but I have been trying to install bagplug, however when I refer to the above installation instructions, I have tried everything and it isnt working. First of all, am i missing something simple? I am new to this, but ...
[Installation]
- (OPTIONAL RECOMMENDED) format sd card to FAT16/FAT (cards 4gb or less) -----do I put 1.11 on the root first?
- Place _bagui folder on root of card
- Copy DSTwo.nds and boot.ini to _dstwo folder on root of card-----if I have formatted the card and only placed _bagui on the root...where the hell is the dstwo folder?
-(OPTIONAL) Configure emulator support via arg files (See "Adding new file support:" below). Binary locations may need
to be updated to their current path on your card.

I have tried extracting v1.11 to the root, then placing bagui folder on the root as well, then placing the other two in the orignal dstwo folder...this almost worked, but when it booted, there was the bottom screen, but the top was black with text about the clock

oops, Im sorry about the multiple posts, wont happen again:) I thought since I was responding to someone, it may show up under their post. Im sure im getting annoying, just trying to get this set up before xmas

I need help again
I am trying to set up cover art. I have read the instructions, which are unclear
I have the nds roms on the root, along with a text file for game guides. I placed the coverart.ini file on the root as well it reads:

[Cover Art]
#path to folder with covers
folder =\_bagui\cover art\nds
#image type
type = png

The cover art is located E:\_bagui\cover art\nds\Dragon Quest 9.nds.png

I have Dragon Quest 9.nds on root, not in a separate DSGames folder because I want the games on the main screen

I dont know what I am doing wrong.

Also was I supposed to have to create the coverart.ini file myself or should it have been in the original files for me to edit? There was no covertart.ini file originally, I created it, not sure if that matters.......I have been at this for hours...I seriously want to smash everything!!!! Any Help Would be greatly appreciated.

From the BAGPlug manual.txt
ini file example:
**********************
[file extension] -file extension must be replaced with the file type you wish to add covers for
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/cover art/nds
#image type
type = png
**********************
*Commercial NDS roms use the game ID for covers and do not need the file extension in the title of the cover file.

Looks like you need to change the [Cover Art] header of your CoverArt.ini file to [nds]. If that doesn't work then we shall continue down the check list.

Oh my gosh, thanks so much for helping me...I was foolishly trying to follow the instructions from the OP, not the manual.txt.....they are different. Turns out just changing the file extension did not help, but reading further i saw it said I can place the coverart.ini file in bagui/userfiles as an alternative to placing it in the game folder....for some reason this helped. It is working now. Without your help I would have never figured it out, lol, thanks sooo much, hopefully I wont need anything else, but unfortunately I feel Ill probably be back for something:) Merry xmas

i try several GBA Games but this exploader.nds cant direct link to games .it give error and force you to press A button to shut down DSi.
