Hacking Badge Arcade Cheating with Gateway

Welp wasted a dollar searched for 5 used a play searched less than found nothing

Can anyone help with this, once I understand how it works I can stop nagging. Right now I have 4 real plays how can I increase this to let's say 99 with Gateway 3.6.2?

It's been said multiple times, but always do an 8bit search. Put the value you see in the game (5, 4, 3 or whatever number of goes you have left). Then use one go and go back and search again for one less (ie, 4, 3, 2, etc..). Use the exact value search.
It should show up after the second or third search.

You don't need to manually create cheats for yourself, I got the ones I posted from the Gateway cheats thread and they worked just fine for me this afternoon. Are you using the latest Gateway launcher.dat?

It's done automatically when you format for Emunand. I have not bothered to change it.

Just to be 100% clear we're talking about the microSD that's NOT the one in the back of the N3DS right? (the 3ds folder in there seems suspicious, that's all)

the cheats folder should be on the microSD that goes in the red card. The cheats system is based off of using the red card NOT the 3DS

100% I had the same problem till I took a look at the original gateway documentation about cheats lol

At least 1 play and the cheats don't work 100% for everyone. That's why its better to follow the guide in the OP if you wanna be 100% sure

Well another dollar down the drain i'll have 5 and try again by press L+Left

@marksteele I know at this point im a pain in the ass but hitting Left+L does nothing. I now have 4 badges think you can give a dirty tut to turn that into 99? The guide in the OP is not very clear for me.

Continue the search and select lower than as the next search

After that play one game

At this point it should say you have values you can check. You should see 2 of them. You want to select the first one at the top of the list and change it to whatever amount you like. Play one more game and then the counter should change to whatever you set it to

Note: sometimes it asks you to do one more search because it hasn't eliminated enough values
