    The EUR cheats probably won't work for the USA version. You can try, by renaming the file from 0004001000022800.txt to 0004001000021800.txt and see what happens. Worst case it crashes your 3DS, mid case, nothing happens and best case it works fine. I don't have a North American 3DS to create the cheats for the Plaza, but I'd be surprised if there aren't some around somewhere.

    can't turn off only notifications about this specific profile, i would have to use the ignore button, and don't want to ignore someone who doesnt botter me. or i would have to turn off all profile notifications which i also don't want :'(

    I just tested the code again, it works fine. (02CBE7D4 0000270F) will give you 9999 coins. I went from 9999 to 0 to 9999 on the same game to test it out.

    The amount of coins you have shouldn't make any difference. The whole point is that the exploit will overwrite that portion of ram with a new value.
    Can you download the Gateway rom patcher http://scene.releases.free.fr/tools/download.php?dl=GRP_v1.1
    And run your copy of the rom through it, that way it can be determined if it's the same as the one I'm using.
