I'd happily send the log.txt if needed.
Also, how would I know if I've got a useful keys.txt?

That's interesting about the display service. It's never failed before, but only seems to do it at that point in the process. I've had the switch for under a month from new, so it's not down to wear anyway.

If I can't get it working, is there anyway to manually extract the keys?

Thanks for the help so far.

no, I tried lots of things but no luck, kezplez released a version for lower firmwares, but it gaves me error on the end of dumping key progress, for now I made emunand with sxos and updated it to 6.0.
I'm avoid to do anything on my real fw, before dumping keys.

Well if you error at the end of the process then you prob have all the keys you can get anyway, i have noticed that on lower systems, you get less keys then someone on a higher system anyway..

ALSO GUYS you can get you keys.txt at anytime any system version, and your get more keys the higher system version you try it on..

@shchmue seem to be having issues with low system versions still.

thanks for answering, I got a few files in kezplez-nx folder but I couldn't get any keys.txt file in root of my sd card, so is that normal or not, I'm confused...

there will always be a keys.txt in the /switch/kezplez-nx folder and if it has >80 keys you’re fine. and no canna, every version you run it on dumps all the current keys even from higher firmwares. the only way that’s not the case is if someone is using a pre-6.0 release of kezplez.

i'm currently doing a complete ground-up rewrite of the program and when that's done i'll test it on lower firmwares to provide an alternative to some of the quirky problems this has had.

in the meantime, if you're itching to get your keys and you already did the backups from this guide, just use HACGUI, which runs on the computer instead: https://github.com/shadowninja108/HACGUI/releases

So, a few months ago, I dumped my TSEC key on 5.1.0, but now when I use kezplez-nx to dump my keys it crashed with 2168-0002 error. I decided to dump the TSEC key for the second time (updated to 6.0.0) but it couldn't dump the TSEC key, all it showed was this screen:
    pic1
so I decided to dump package1 again, and it stuck on this screen:
    pic2
    with only file pkg1_decr.bin has 256KB, while nxloader.bin, secmon.bin and warmboot.bin has 0KB.
I've also included the pkg1.rar file for analyzing.

I did, but that was months ago so I guess it was outdated. After downloading your latest files it works again and I was able to dump all the keys.
    Thanks for your help.

Hello could you please help me with the kezplez part of the tutorial.
I have my NAND Backups and am at the last step. So far everything worked fine but my Switch crashes on the Kezplez part at 1/15.

    My Switch FW is 4.1
I used all the files that you attached.
The error Code my Switch crashes with is : 2011-0301

My dumped Boot files are in the root folder of the SD.
    The key files:
    • fuses.bin
    • kfuses.bin
    • tsec_key.bin
    are in /backup/randomnumbers/dumps

the package files are in /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/pkg1 and /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/pkg2
the both have the files needed in them.

The logfile contains the following after crashing:

    general application initialization
    locating dumps...
    loading in tsec and sbk
    opening tsec and sbk
old tsec path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/dumps/tsec_key.bin, new tsec path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/dumps/tsec_keys.bin, and fuse path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/dumps/fuses.bin
Failed to open old tsecfile, trying newer one
    reading keys
    hexlifying...
    adding to the keyfile
    over and over
    cleanup
    preparing hactool
    main loop begins
setting up thread-ab-RANDOMNUMBERS thread started, received args are-RANDOMNUMBERS
    boot0 path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/BOOT0
BOOT0 was dumped via hekate so copying it from there
    BOOT0 Dumped.
setting up thread-ab-RANDOMNUMBERS thread started, received args are-RANDOMNUMBERS
    pkg2_decrypted path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/pkg2/pkg2_decr.bin pkg2_ini1 path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/pkg2/ini1.bin pkg2_kernel path: /backup/RANDOMNUMBERS/pkg2/kernel.bin
package2 was dumped via hekate so copying it from there

I dont know what im doing wrong i followed the instructions verry clearly and still get the error

    Thanks in advance
    EMZ

can you check kezplez github page, it has a version for older firmwares and can you change your sd card files to new release you can find it on github too

if it stopped there it’s failing to copy files on your sd card which sounds like corruption tbh. try copying everything off your sd and reformatting or try a different sd altogether

kezplez says it is for lower fw, you should try it too, if it wont work, you will just lose 5 minutes

you know what? i just realized kezplez probably can't work on 1.0 because it looks for the sd keys which don't exist and it doesn't handle failure well :x

Here's my situation. I did a rawnand backup but forgot to do the boot0/1 backup. Since then I ran some NSPs on my device. Now I would like to restore my rawnand backup without boot0/1. Will I get banned if I restore just the rawnand and then go online? Remember I didn't make any boot0/1 backup. Am I safe?

should be fine. won't look weird unless you updated firmware using ChoiDujour while offline.
