Hacking Backup loader channel problems

This is my 2nd softmod and the 1st one worked fine. Was able to use the wiigator 0.3 gamma channel to load games. However, this 2nd softmod will not work with the wiigator 0.3 gamma channel. When I run the channel, the wii simply restarts. Backups load fine if I run a backup loader through the Homebrew Channel. I have tried a few other backup loader channels as well but they do not work. I would like to have the channel working so that I am not forced to keep an sd card in the wii in order to run backups. What is going on? Your help is appreciated.

search the backup loader section for the neogamma thread, get neogamma r6, its great. its the next step up from wiigators gamma channel, which is totally out of date these days.

NEOGAMMA channel works for disc loading, USB loading, AND, SD card loading of Wii games.

i use beardfaces USB coverfloader myself but keep neogamma as a backup.
if all else fails - neogamma will work.

I found a neogamma wad and installed the channel, but the same thing happens. I click on it and the wii restarts. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

The wii is on 3.2U and HBC says 1.03 IOS38 v14.25

from your post i take it you have CIOS 38 rev 14 installed yes?
if i am wrong you will need to install this or another cios revXX.

try a different game to make sure its not a bad burn

if all else fails try updating through nintendo. check the guides on this site.

I believe it's an official IOS 38 rev 14 because I installed it through WAD manager and not through custom WAD manager.

The problem happens on multiple backups as well as retail games. I will try to find a custom IOS and report if that helps. Thanks for taking the time to reply and try to help.
