Hacking Homebrew AVI on PSP?

I've been out of touch on the homebrew scene on the PSP but has a program been developed yet that allows DIVX/XVID AVIs to be played on the PSP without converting them?

Nope, cause PSP still requires movies to be encoded in MP4 format.

Still I found a great prog that convert almost all kind of format into the PSP one, great and easy to use : Personal Media Manager

psplayerMT plays xvid, divx. but u still have to re encoded to make it 480x272(i think) resolution or less.

This post on maxconsole seems to be promising. At the moment (as the other posters have said) it is not yet possible to play XVID / DIVX encoded .AVI files on the PSP.

Just a warning on that post at Maxconsole, the poster was a fraud and his posted AVI playing program was only a trojan.
