Hey all, I'm wondering what the average file size of a nds rom is. I'm getting my flashcart (CycloDS, unless calamity strikes) soon, and I need to decide what size MicroSD card to get-- if .nds files are between 50 and 100 MB, I'll probably just go for a 2 GB. I'm not going to be using my cart for media, just homebrew and, um, games I totally already own. Anything above 8 gigs is pretty much out of my price range.

Your prompt responses are greatly appreciated.

Depending on how quickly you complete/get bored of/get new games, i'd say between 1 and 4gig.

edit : Games are typically between 32mb and 128mb

I have 636 files (mostly US) totaling about 27GB,

Average size = 42.5 MB.

Range=8MB (91 games) to 256MB (Cooking Guide- Can't Decide What To Eat).

I used to use a 4GB µSDHC, but with 70 games on my DSTT, the menu was slow, so I now prefer a 2GB µSD for games.
4GB is great for multi-media/games mix, though.

Sorry to be a bit slow, but what's a Mo?

Thanks for the responses.
Short for "MegaOctal" it's the same thing as a Megabyte. Actually makes sense if you think about it, since there are 8 bits in a byte, so an "octal" is an appropriate name to replace "byte"

I think it's the convention used in some European countries anyway.
