Hacking Auto boot gateway 3ds emunand?

How do I set up Auto boot so my new 3ds xl can boot into gateway 3ds emunand every time I turn It on?

your sysnand must be on 9.0 - 9.2.

set up menuhax using another exploit: Latest release (or download the latest homebrew starter kit)

then check out CtrBootManager. put it as boot.3dsx at the root of your microSD card.

edit boot.cfg to add GW.3dsx (or whatever it's called) to the list.

alternatively, you might be able to just use GW.3dsx as a boot.3dsx, but CtrBootManager is a better idea if you want to go into different things at "boot".

Ok I went through this crap all day so just some tips. One, browser hax isn't 100% working. When you go to the special website via the QR code it may not work 100% on O3DS. Second, make sure you have gone to themes at least once before you do this because I didn't on my sysnand and when I finally could get themehax rolling via menuhax it had no theme data to exploit. Lastly, definitely use ctrbootmanager. Do a type 1 menuhax install I believe it is. You can then set paths to your launchers and have HBL, RxTools, GW boot, etc.

Homebrew starter kit has junk in the 3ds folder. You really just need Menu_hax folder in it. So just so you are aware, it will have a bunch of stuff you probably don't want, but grab it anyway.

yeah go back into homemenuhax installer and select the 3rd option, then select type 1 and tap the touch screen. that will set it to no button boot

GW.3dsx boot rate for me is quite low...3 out of 10 success autoboot using ctrbootmanager

I use CTRBootManager, and rxTool's code.bin from compiling it.

so I guess I'll stick with downgraded MSET ... I would love to coldboot onto GW Emunand but if the success rate is not near perfect it's not worth it for me.

Success rate is about the same for me with either method, but I'm not using ctrbootmanager, cold booting straight into gateway emunand. Set it up to hold L to skip cold boot to go to system nand, so emunand is my "default".
