Hacking Attach a female micro usb to 3DS?

Hey I have a 3ds xl and I was wondering could I somehow install a female micro usb and hook it up to the battery as an alternative way to charge the battery?

You could probably just use this cable, It's only a few bucks and saves your warranty and the time it would take you to hardmod one to the system.

i have a miniusb installed in place of original connector on my XL picture. mainly for my capture card but its quite easy to swap connectors if you have soldering experience
