So obviously we have the CFW, but does 4.1 have any exploits yet? Or any likely to release near this?

CFW hasn't been completed yet. When it is completed, it will be released for 1.0-4.1 this summer alongside a relatively easy installation method. It will also be released for 5.0-5.0.1, but it will be more difficult to install.

Ok. Obviously I meant we have it "upcoming" but forgot to type that word.

So when you say "relatively easy installation method", does that include an exploit to install, or does it assume you already have access to homebrew?

You will have everything you need to install it when it is all released. If you're on 1.0.0, you might require a copy of Puyo Puyo Tetris. If you're on 5.0-5.0.1, the method of installation will be inconvenient relative to how it will be installed on other system versions.

Awesome. And if I'm on 4.1, will I require any particular game (preferably that I can get physical)? Want to know so I can purchase it ahead of time.

No, you probably won't require any specifoc game on 4.1. All you should do at this point is stay on 4.1.

They said it will potentially use Fusee Gelee for installing on 4.1, so whatever that requires.

Is that a game?

Sounds good. That's exactly why I'm not playing Splatoon 2 right now. Mario Oddyssee and BotW for me.

Fusee Gelee is a coldboot hack that is the result of a Tegra X1 bootrom bug. It will be released alongside Atmosphere NX this summer for 1.0.0-5.0.1. Installing it should be relatively easy on 1.0.0-4.1.0, and it will be more inconvenient on 5.0.0-5.0.1.

Nice. I do love a good cold-boot for my CFWs. That's the entire reason I installed Infinity on my PSP.

Thanks for the info. I can't wait. Even if Smash comes out first, it can wait until I have this installed.

I hope it doesn't require a second switch

It doesn't require a second Switch, not even on 5.0.0-5.0.1.
Ok cool I was just saying that I hope it didn't because inconvenient in my world means second system neaded (like how it happened on the 3ds when the scene was young and anyone past 9.2 needed dsiware)
