If you can help it, it's recommended that you stay on 3.0.0. However, CFW will be released for 4.1 around the time it's released for 3.0.0 this summer.

4.0.1will be a little.bit harder to hack than 3.0.0

Topic: My Switch gonna stay on 4.1.0 till there is CFW. And to the concerns of too small SD-Cards, I remember to have read that, even if we need to copy the full sysNAND we will be able to use the remaining 24gb(?) of space when the system is installed for games. Just like the switch by itself does already. So you'll get like 3 big games on a 64gb card or many many smaller ones.
I don't think it's practical to have multiple sd cards, just switch the games out which you don't play as much.

I think it still works on 5.0+ but it's harder to get a way for it to work if I'm not mistaken?

I do wonder, will we be able to coldboot this since the trustzone bug?
I'm thinking if it will be as nice to have the option like Luma3DS has to preconfigure it what it will and will not do. I understand that right now that aint a goal but later on.
