Arc System Works, the developer behind the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue fighting game series is back, and taking on a new franchise; Dragon Ball Z. Titled Dragon Ball Fighters, the game will focus on having two teams of 3 fighters take each other on. The producer of the game said in the press release, that Fighters will be in 2.5D as opposed to more recent DBZ games using 3D, as he claims that 2.5D fighters capture a style that 3D fighting games cannot. Dragon Ball Z Fighters is set for a 2018 release, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

This better be better than the 3DS game they made, I was excited for that one and i really dislike it, I don't recommend it as much as i hoped i would like it. I prefer the old SNES Dragon Ball Z Butoden 2 that you can play on 3ds. I know people like this game, but for something by Arc system works it was not what I hoped coming from people who known them for Guilty Gear and Blaz blue games.

I don't recommend this one. Is bit underwhelming.

I do recommend this one. (Yes is a Original Japanese exclusive game for Super famicom by namco but it still fun)

Wait, Extreme Butoden was done by Arc System Works?
Meh, not hyped anymore. That game was shit.
Yeah, that was my point. Which is odd, blaz blue was on 3DS, now if they can actually make THIS game more like GUILTY GEAR XRD, I might buy it, but i rather have namco make a fighting game based on their SNES fighting games. :P

I wonder sometimes if they're aware that there are other shonen beside DBZ and Naruto...

Its been forever since a YuYu Hakusho fighting game, Saint Seiya still deserves a decent game as well and I would love to play Hisoka sometimes xD.

Saint Seiya Soldier Soul is amazing, give it a try.

The major problem with Saint Seiya fighting games, since the Ps2 era is that they just stick to how the battles are developed in the original anime series (and it was essentially a show of special moves being thrown side by side). They'll have better games if they improve the melee combat getting rid of fixed and "almost equal for everyone" melee combos, and do personalized melee fighting styles for the characters.

Extreme Butouden was awesome, it took me back to the old days of SNES DBZ games but unfortunately it was kept as a 3DS-exclusive.

This has got me hyped! Tired of the Tenkaichi-like games all these years.

This is what I was waiting for
A sequel to Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure would be pretty nice too but it's always about Z or now, Super.

Dragon Ball GT only had one game and despite being somewhat good, the lives' system was completely broken so I just gave up from ever playing it.
